Menopause is experienced by all women and
remedies of yore are returning to the forefront to help alleviate
menopausal symptoms. We believe that menopause is a natural
part of a womanıs life and should be supported in natural
ways. The frequency and intensity of menopausal symptoms are
widely varied from woman to woman. Hormonal changes trigger
these shifts in your system and these changes occur not only
in the ovaries but also in the pituitary, thyroid, pancreas,
adrenal, uterus, liver and pineal glands.
Some easy ways to help with hotflashes:
soak your feet, wear silk, decrease stress in your life, put
ice on your cheeks, eat a snack (carrots, fruits (not citrus)
seaweed, whole grains, yogurt etc.), nourish the liver with
lemon juice and olive oil and papaya juice, Vitamin B complex
(especially B2, B6 and B12) and Vitamin A are helpful; sleep
with loose covers and eat wild yams which are sometimes helpful.
Avoid foods that may trigger a hot flash such as spicy foods,
acidic foods, hot drinks, caffeine, alcohol, sugars, hydrogenated
and saturated fats. Also avoid hot tubs or saunas (which tress
the adrenals), tobacco, intense exercise and repressing anger
or other powerful emotions. Also exercise for mood swings
and enjoy regular moderate exposure to sunlight, but wear
your sunscreen. If youıre fatigued feed your adrenal glands
and ingest vitamins B, E, potassium, iron and iodine. For
memory loss use it or lose it! Memorize poetry, play games,
do a crossword, tell stories, write in a journal, and eat
a balanced diet with whole foods to enhance your brain power.
